mining for sanity
Black Friday, the yearly shopping blitz the day after Thanksgiving, is 'round the corner.
Shoppers will be camping out out waiting for the doors that open as early as midnight, generally between 4 and 6 a.m.
This announcement from my region's mall -- Here's where I won't be:
Here’s a doorbuster sure to dazzle. The first 200 shoppers to enter
through the Target or Old Country Buffet entrances on Friday, November
28, receive a FREE semi-precious gemstone, amethyst, blue topaz, peridot, garnets and more, all compliments of Zales and South Hill
Mall. While supplies last. Doors open at 6 a.m.

In a crowd like that I start hating people in general. Hunting with masses to save money on things you probably don't even need, brings out the ugly side of people.
What the hell?!
Is this for real?
Are you kidding me?
Who camps out in front of a mall in november? What the hell?!
The place where my daughter works just had some promotional thing like that and she said when she turned up to open there were already lines of people and that the day was insane. She said someone got kicked in the head - which was pretty funny - and of course once the bras ran out she copped abuse for the rest of the day.
They have the big sales here on either boxing day or new years day and I always love watching those stampeding crowds on the news. I just can't believe you need something that bad that you're willing to be in the middle of that crowd.
